Before joining tremco illbruck, Stephan Weyer was a member of the Board of Directors at Sika Deutschland GmbH. He began his professional career there in 1996 as an applications engineer, also gathering experience as a sales consultant and holding various management positions at Sika. Stefan Weyer took up the position of Business Unit Director Central Europe at tremco illbruck GmbH & Co KG on 1 June. In this role, he has responsibility for the strategic direction of the Business Unit Central Europe for sales, particularly with regard to further business development for the product groups Tapes & Membranes and Adhesion & Sealing. For Central Europe, new areas such as the market introduction of Nullifire, tremco illbruck's brand for smart passive fire protection, will also be a significant focus.
In his new role he is particularly looking forward to developing sales channels in order to grow diversity and future-proof the business. Stefan Weyer takes the view that long-term success is only ever the result of close and trusting cooperation between all those involved in the market (processors, retailers, suppliers).
“In Stefan Weyer, we have attracted an outstanding industry expert with many years of management experience to our company. With his superior market expertise, Weyer will make a significant contribution to building on tremco illbruck's position, in particular in the German market”, stated Reiner Eisenhut, CEO & Managing Director of tremco illbruck Group GmbH.
Weyer's predecessor Matthias Wagner has worked for tremco illbruck for over 25 years and has spent the past eleven years as Business Unit Director Central Europe. In 2009 he oversaw the successful acquisition of the Swiss sealing specialist Karochemie as well as the strategic reorientation of the Business Unit Central Europe, following which the Czech and Polish country subsidiaries were integrated into Wagner's Business Unit. Matthias Wagner has decades of industry knowledge and will bring stronger focus to the expansion and strategic further development of international customers in his role as Director Strategic Partnerships. In this newly created position, he will contribute to the future development of tremco illbruck's growth strategy as well as to industry associations and specialist organisations (including RAL and Deutsche Bauchemie) as a representative of the company.
