Passive Houses

Passive houses are characterised by their high energy efficiency, cost-effectiveness and environmental friendliness. Instead of heating, energy sources from within the house are used:the body heat of the occupants, penetrating heat from the sun, but also heat that is generated while cooking or taking a shower – all these heat sources are used for internal heat production.

Elbphilharmonie (GER)

Modern Building - illbruck

Project

The central element of the Great Hall of the Elbphilharmonie is the "white skin" that lines the Great Hall: Composed of around 10,000 individually machined gypsum fibre panels and 15 kilometres of joints

Solution

illbruck helped develop a solution to maintain the desired acoustic effect. The seam seal with TP600 Compriband 600, was the ideal complement to and continuation of the complex functions of the white skin itself".

Modern Building - Nullifire

Project

Europe´s tallest building - designed by Renzo Piano. The construction took 9 years and when opened in July 2012 topped out at 309.6m.

Solution

Nullifire helped develop a detailed fire stopping specification. Many of the products within the Nullifire fire stopping range were used throughout this Project.

The tallest building in the world - 828m (165 floors). World record for the highest installation of an aluminium and glass facade, at a height of 512m.

35.000m2  glazing surface, 120.000msubterranean parking levels and plant areas.

Solution   

Tremco contributed with 17 products for SSG and the car park deck coating.
