Production advantage thanks to high-performance silicones
The silicones offered meet the requirements for modern joining technology. As one and two-component adhesives and sealants, they offer suitable strengths, the individually required elasticity and very high temperature resistance, at both high and below-zero temperatures. In industry, workflows can be reorganised by enabling joining first and then heat-intensive further processing. The silicone adhesives and sealants are suitable for diverse materials from metal to textile and are resistant to ageing, weathering and UV. Thanks to their UL registration with international clearances, they can also be used flexibly and at short notice in other factories.
Patented, coordinated and effective solutions
The Pactan range comprises numerous products for a highly diverse range of requirements. For example, they include patented two-component solutions that enable particularly fast curing. The cost advantage from this accelerated process has a particularly clear impact in the case of high quantities or repairs, and amounts to between 25 and 50 %.Development of silicone seals that simultaneously foam and adhere on the same system is unusual and surprising. This dispenses with engineering and logistics compulsions because the seal can be freely and directly foamed onto production items in any location. Thanks to the fact that they can be individually shaped, self-adhesive, directly injected profiled seals save the need for ready-made seals installed in a complex process and the usual die costs are dispensed with. Here also, one and two-component variants are available. Up to now, the application range has covered housings for electrical and electronic devices, domestic appliances and cooker or motor components, and is constantly being extended with individual new developments for specific requirements.
Castable sealants have been developed for protection against vibrations, temperature cycles or aggressive media. Their viscosity is adjusted individually, assuring an optimum workflow and reliable adhesion, movement compensation and lasting protection against corrosion. Thus, they are in particular suitable for sealing domestic appliances and electronic components.
Injected and screen printed seals are even more flexible and can be applied to fit contours precisely. The sealants that are available as a one-component solution have been adjusted suitably for these processes and are easy to apply using commercially available applicators. They adhere on many materials without pre-treatment and cure into a flexible sealing surface at room temperature.
